HISTORY ~ In 2002 I expanded my role at the Southwest YMCA to include Active Older Adult Coordinator and had a wonderful time developing programing for our seniors. With the help and direction from the board consisting of 25 seniors from the Y we presented speakers for both enjoyment and information, traveled monthly, hosted luncheons for 300+, held fundraising events and hosted an annual Health Fair. In 2012 changes allowed me the opportunity to strike out and start my own company - Join Polly’s Jaunts. With much encouragement and definitely some direction I started a new chapter and those that traveled with me willingly came along!

In 2013 a friend shared that St. Mary’s Young at Heart was looking for someone to handle the details for their monthly travels. After meeting with Arnie and the YAH board, a deal was struck and I am truly blessed to share I have been facilitating their travels ever since!

In 2016 Nedra called representing the Senior Travel Club of Walworth County. She had traveled with me a couple of times and was wondering if I would consider working with their group as well. My answer was simple … “hell yeah”!

Even though both Arnie and Nedra have since passed, I will be forever grateful they considered entrusting me with their groups. Today, I continue to work with other groups in the area. Red Hatters, retiree and church groups look to me to make their travels stress-free and fun. I am always excited to enjoy a day away! Theater or a walking adventure. I am game for it all … 262-894-6450.
