Our morning began walking the eight blocks of this historic district.  Our tour guide from the Chinese Cultural Institute took us to the Chinese Marble Lions, Chinatown Mural, the Chinese Zodiac Square, Nine Dragon Wall and more.  The gentleman who gave us a lesson in Calligraphy was very interesting and knowledgeable. He moved to the United States only two years ago - he is 83! Afterward we had a lesson in making dumplings and learned the significance of dumplings in the Chinese culture before enjoying a DELICIOUS lunch! A bit of time was set aside to stroll the area and visit the shops.  The day was enjoyable overall, however there are areas currently under construction. I would recommend to anyone looking to visit to delay until until construction is complete.
